New Hampshire is a cyclist’s paradise, and biking on the Northern Rail Trail with the luxury and convenience of being able to relax nightly in our gracious inns, followed in the mornings by a gourmet breakfast before you hit the rail trail again, is the perfect getaway.
All along the rail trail, cyclists will encounter a landscape of historic covered bridges, sustainable farms, orchards, horse and alpaca farms, sparkling lakes and streams. You will also see a plethora of wildlife along the rail trail routes along with historic places situated in quaint and vibrant New England towns.
Join us for days filled with bicycling through a beautiful countryside of rolling fields, verdant forests and picturesque New Hampshire towns. Bike rentals are also available at some inns.
The Northern Rail Trail, a 58 mile long, 12 feet wide, outdoor activity venue, free of charge, away from cars, along lakes, through river valleys and quaint New England villages. In the warmer months, the trail is used for bird watching, bicycling, running, walking and horseback riding. In the winter, the trail is popular for cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking and snowmobiling through late March.
